Growth Planning

Growth planning that turns ambition into a deliverable plan

Where do you want the business to be in three years, and what has to be true in people, cash, systems and sales for that to happen? We build the plan, model the numbers and keep you accountable to it.

You probably need this if

  • You know where you want to be in three years but not what has to happen first.
  • Growth keeps running ahead of cash.
  • Hiring happens in a panic rather than ahead of demand.
  • A lender or investor has asked for a plan and forecasts.

What good looks like

  • A three-year financial model you can flex as the world changes.
  • Headcount, premises, systems and funding mapped to the plan, in sequence.
  • A funding-ready business case where external money is needed.
  • Quarterly milestones the whole leadership team is accountable for.

Who it is for

Established businesses with a working model that want to scale deliberately rather than by accident, and owners who want a plan their management team can actually execute.

A plan with numbers behind it

Growth that outruns cash kills businesses. We build an integrated three-year model covering revenue, gross margin, overheads, headcount, capital expenditure and cash, then stress-test it against slower sales, higher costs and delayed payments.

Capacity before demand

The plan sets out what you will need and when: people, premises, equipment, systems and working capital. Hiring and investing just ahead of demand, rather than in a panic behind it, is what separates planned growth from chaos.

  • Three-year integrated financial model
  • Headcount and organisation design
  • Funding requirement and options review
  • Systems and process readiness
  • Quarterly milestones and owners

Funding readiness

If the plan needs external funding we prepare the business case, forecasts and information pack that lenders and investors expect, and introduce you to brokers and funders suited to your situation.

The growth staircase

Growth fails when the business climbs two steps on one step's cash and people. The plan sets the sequence, the model proves it funds itself, and quarterly reviews keep it honest.

Questions

Growth FAQs

We already have a business plan. Why do we need this?

Most business plans are documents written for a bank and never opened again. A growth plan is a working tool reviewed every quarter, with owners, dates and a financial model that updates as reality changes.

Can you help us raise finance?

We prepare the business case and forecasts and introduce you to independent, appropriately authorised finance brokers and funders. Fortis does not arrange finance itself.

How long does it take to build the plan?

Typically four to six weeks from first workshop to a board-ready plan and model, then quarterly reviews.
